Marshall D. Parker - President contact via e-mail Mr. Parker joined Kansas Venture Capital, Inc. in October 1990. Mr. Parker has counseled and financed emerging businesses for the past 29 years. After graduating from Kansas State University (1978) with an accounting degree, he joined Wichita-based Allen, Gibbs and Houlik where he was responsible for marketing and servicing the firms consulting practice and data center. In 1983, he joined the Management Services Department of Ernst & Young in Kansas City where he was selected to assist in creating the Entrepreneurial Services Department. Mr. Parker joined the investment banking division of Blunt Ellis & Loewi (now Wachovia Securities) in 1987, where his responsibilities included business development, financial analysis and due diligence for public offerings, fairness opinions and merger/acquisition projects. He co-founded Snelgrove Parker & Company, an Overland Park based investment firm, in 1989. Mr. Parker is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. He serves on the Board of Governors of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NASBIC). He is a Board member for ACG - Kansas City. He is past President of the Midwest Regional Association of Small Business Investment Companies (RASBIC). He served on the Board of Directors of the Kansas Society of CPAs. Mr. Parker has and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of several privately-held businesses. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Tony Rock - Principal contact via e-mail. Mr. Rock joined KVCI as a Principal in October 2007. Prior to joining KVCI, Mr. Rock was a Principal with Mid America Capital and focused on the management and acquisition of underperforming operating companies. Mr. Rock is an experienced executive and advisor for emerging growth and distressed companies. He has extensive financial, operational and technology consulting experience in serving nearly 100 operating units in various capacities, including the development of over 20 new business ventures. His professional background also includes senior consulting, planning and corporate development roles with BKD, Andersen Consulting and the Olsten Corporation. Mr. Rock is also an Advisory Partner in Mid America's China Market Development practice. He has extensive experience in government relations, entity formation and due diligence activities in China. He is also currently conducting seminal research on the relationship of private equity, corporate governance and firm performance of Chinese companies. Mr. Rock currently serves as a board member of Resonant Machines Worldwide and the Sunflower House, a child abuse prevention center serving Wyandotte and Johnson Counties in Kansas. Mr. Rock holds a BA in Economics from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition, Mr. Rock is a CFA charterholder.
